group therapy
“The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle therapeutic help.” Irvin Yalom
Women’s process groups offer a safe, confidential space in which women can develop a greater connection to self, while building a stronger connection to other women. Group therapy acts like a microcosm of our real life relationships, allowing us to do work inside the group, on the dynamics that exist in our everyday life. Process groups meet weekly for 75 minutes, focusing on the here and now, in an effort to notice the processes and interactions within the therapy setting and between participants, in order to form more adaptive patterns.
In my experience, the healing power of realizing we are not alone in our pain, is an unmatched tool for change.
